Re: AD410 refuses to pair
Ok so now having played with this camera a bit..... Amcrest, I'm a bit disappointed. There's a "notification" capacity and the settings for zones to consider "movement" (good, as with your other IP cameras) BUT unlike the others there is not only no web interface but no way to se...

Re: AD410 refuses to pair
Serious..... I still have to do THIS? https://amcrest.com/forum/amcrest-smart-home-f32/cannot-pair-ad410-succesfully-t15155-s10.html?sid=51cc343dc039e8f30eb2f923a9b33414 Yes, that worked. But seriously -- May of 2022 and the app is still not fixed?! Holy mother...... I'm good, but.... yeah, not good.

AD410 refuses to pair
Using the Smart Home app I cannot get it to pair -- either on the original connection (as a doorbell) or with the USB connected on my desk. I've tried shutting off ALL but one SSID on my WiFi (I have four, two on each of 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz) with no change and even took a second phone (Pixel 8 and 6a) a...

Re: Determining why connections fail on web CGI
Setting dither to "1" (or any other number) REDUCES but does NOT eliminate the failures....
No reply at all from the Amcrest people on this?!

Re: Determining why connections fail on web CGI
OK, so here's an update on this.... It appears if I set the dither time to "0" (so I get immediate notification, and handle delays if I desire in my application -- say, if I get a bunch of notifications in a row before I can respond to them all) I get failures. If I set the dither to "...

Re: Silica Bag in Dome Camera
If it's like most silica bags you can put it in the oven at ~150F for a few hours to drive all the moisture out of it. Silica is not "consumed" when it absorbs moisture.

Re: Determining why connections fail on web CGI
amc.png Updating on this if I turn on motion detection with the above screen to "send an email" WITHOUT an attachment, and WITHOUT taking a snapshot, I get the failures a good percentage of the time. If I trigger the snapshot by placing a motion detector right next to the camera (but not ...

Re: Amcrest products and KRACK vulnerability
MD5 for password hashes? I almost spit out my coffee. I wouldn't be bragging about that on a public forum. Hey Amcrest, we love your hardware, but you're going to have to do a little better. This is a big deal, and your response needs to match. I don't want to worry about my neighbor's teenage kid ...

Determining why connections fail on web CGI
I've got an interesting issue here with the Amcrest API's that I cannot appear to run down. I have an external application that uses the API to fetch snapshots. It does so using https and a user and password that has access to the correct permissions. A good percentage of the time it works, but some...
