External microphone IP4M-1028E

I searched the forum and found a few messages about external microphone - no one told that it "worked for sure". Can anyone share their experience with an external microphone - if possible for the PoE cameras, like the IP4M-1028E? I found these on Amazon: m m ("best"?) m But no i...

Re: Problem Connecting Amcrest IP4M-1026EB to Manycam

Just try to change the password (or create a new user) with a very basic username / password. No special characters, only about 8 characters long.

I had some problems before when I decided to use a very complex/strong password.

Amcrest does not read, interact, reply or even is interested in this forum. They don't care.

Here is a jungle, with the "survivors" (us, the buyers) helping each other.

Have you researched PERL EXPECT command? (don't know if it will help you... but PHP+PERL "should" work.

Re: No signal to TV and beeps

Either a HDD failure or a device failure.
Try to remove the HDD and check if the alarm will go off. The device should work even without a HDD.

If it is OK, no alarm, then you confirmed it is a HDD failure. Replace the HDD. Otherwise, may be a faulty NVR/DVR.

Re: anyone from amcrest support ? 219575

It appears that this forum is no longer monitored by Amcrest staff.

A long time ago I got some replies from the tech staff, but I'm not seeing any interaction lately.

I posted a technical question but so far I've heard nothing.

Re: User is Locked

I never heard that the Amcrest device will lock (disable) the user after N attempts. So, if you are seeing a User Locked, your only solution MAY BE a hard (factory) reset and reinstall. PS: For some reason, my password for the IP3M-HX2B admin user was not working - I tried several times but didn't g...

Re: POE cameras

You can use the PoE camera with a EoP (Ethernet over poweline) + PoE injector solution (poor solution but works). I'm using this solution to power several VoIP phones where there is no ethernet connection. I'm using the EoP solution with a IP3M-HX2B camera as the WiFi was unreliable. My setup: 1) TP...
