USB Drive Not Detected with Proper Capacity

Post by xoneeleven »

Hello All,
We have an 8TB USB HDD that we are attempting to export nightly videos to.
The Amcrest NVR (Model: NV5232E-16P) is only detecting the USB HDD having a capacity of 300MB.

Is there a hard capacity limit on the USB port?

Can someone point me in the right direction on resolution of this issue?

Thanks!

Hello and Welcome to the forum..

I would look at buying a 4 to 16 gb Thumb drive to transfer files. However if you are looking to do Mass amounts of footage then I would look to connecting to your local computer by going to the NVR's WebUI. Then in there you can dl the footage to your Local Computer. There are a few different ways you can do it. Looking at the picture below is from the Backup, On my ch31 and from full time recorded Sub Channel feed. Then you can pick the ones you want to save or DL them all.
