Time will not stay changed

Post by SomeGuyOverHere »

I'm using the Windows application Amcrest Surveillance Pro, logged in as admin.

Device Config -> DVR -> System -> General -> Time Setup.

Click Sync PC. Time is changed to match my PC. Camera view also shows the time change. Click Apply, and then Save.

The next time I relaunch the app, the time has NOT been saved and is still an hour off. Daylight savings settings are configured and correct.

This is infuriating. AMDV10818-4B-B, firmware is V3.210.AC01.4, which is newer than what I found on the Amcrest firmware search for this model.

Also, that stupid chat widget on the web site keeps restoring itself after you close or minimize it, right on top of the page I was trying to read.

Best bet is to log into the DVRs WebUI. Going to the the DVRs Ip address using Edge in IE mode.. Then make the change in the DVR to work with DST and the correct Time Server. If you block your dvr from having access to the internet like so many do then you will need to have a local time server and point to that. Outside of that if the device isn't setup with correct time server it will be lost in time. Way to fix is turn off all DST and time server and set time manually. This will lose about 4 to 5 minutes a month so you will need to log in WebUI and set time again. Using ASP always kills my times and they never want to stay correct. So I no longer use ASP..
Be Safe.

I tried that too. Still doesn't save the time if you close IE and open it again, or open the App again. The time reverts every single time.

The only thing I haven't tried is changing the time from the console.
