Supervisor login time expires Wifi Camera gets locked out!

Post by bataradena »

I have an IP8M-T2499EW POE Ethernet connected to a WIFI Bridge. The camera secure Wifi connection to my NVR (NV41083-HS) keeps getting "BLOCKED" only after the Supervisor Login Time has expired. Logging back in the NVR the BLOCKED Wifi becomes "UNBLOCK". This is a new installation with currently available firmware.
WTHIGO ? (what the heck is going on)

I have read this a few times and every time I try and figure out a solution I find out I have the wrong question. So i better understand your system and I will write out what I think your asking?

You have a NVR that is to far from a POE 4k camera that your using a WIFI Bride to make a connection back to your NVR. The NVR keeps locking out your WIFI Bridge connection for your camera until you log back into the NVR?

Then sounds like system works fine as long as Admin Password session is current. Once expired it locks out your Wifi Bridge from accessing the NVR to record the camera data.

What is the make of the Bridge? or AP that your using. How are you powering the camera. Is your camera so far outside of the scope of running a Cable so it can be used like it was designed to be used.

Sadly when you put in something between the intended connection it is hard to blame the Amcrest for fail. I understand that your saying it only happens after admin of NVR goes offline however from what I know of my own system and the 1000 log entry every day I get my cameras and DVR. Yes I know I said DVR but still my IP to DVR reach out and LOG in and OUT loads of times. The DVR or in your Case the NVR would need to know the IP, User Name, Password and TCP Port for system to work right. While I am just making a way to test. Maybe try and change the Password for the camera to the same as the NVR and see if maybe that keeps it logged in.

Also look at your Bridge/AP hardware and see if there is something in there about keeping the Connection live. Sorry without knowing all the hardware installed it is hard to know what could be making the issue.

I did some trouble shooting while I waited for your reply.
1) I removed the WiFi Bridge from the camera.
2) I perform a camera reset back to Factory Setting using Amcrest SW Tool.
3) I connected the POE Camera "directory" to the back of the NVR, RJ45 Connector, without the WiFi-Bridge

Again, after the Admin Password Expires, I'm reading on the NVR Monitor, with a red lock icon, the camera is locked.

The other three cameras I have installed are working flawlessly, no log out.

Plus, for some reason, I'm not getting any email response from this posting. Yes, I have Subscribe topic = on

Your assumption:
I not looking for blame, I'm looking for a solution my friend.

Respectfully, your customer

Sorry if I came off trying to cast blame. I was just trying to offer ideas of things that wasn't part of Amcrest as a way to test and try and find the cause.

I would maybe Reach out to Amcrest and see if they can help you. Maybe doing a Remote log in to your system and them looking over some settings might be able to resolve the problem. Humm funny thing is Not that it is funny. But I did have a issue like this with my CVI unit I did a Factory reboot problem went away. Then shortly after your Post I see that now my 2 CVI cameras that came with the system are locked out after weekly reboot or if I restart the system I need to log in to make them come on. My IP cameras that are connected work fine. Strange... Once I Log in they stay online until weekly reboot or I restart. I would check to see how long you have your system setup for auto Reboot under Auto Maintain.

email ([email protected]) or phone (888-212-7538)

Someone there should be able to help you solve the problem. Maybe once they help post back here with your solution to help others that may have same problem.
Be Safe.

Solved: Supervisor login time expires Wifi Camera gets locked out!

Post by bataradena »

I found the problem inside the NVR Setting -> System Tab -> General -> Auto Logout (10 min.) -> Monitoring Channels had a camera not listed as a "Monitor Channels(s)". After the Auto Logout > 10 minutes the camera was then locked.
