I searched this topic here and using Google. Tried everything suggested.
On my NVR:
eMail is setup and tested. I receive alerts but no attachments.
Under eMail, "Attachment" is checked.
Under Alarm->video detection->motion detection
- "Enable" is checked
- "Picture storage" is checked
- "Record channel" and channel number is checked
- "Snapshot" is set to 3
then under "more settings", "Send Email" is checked.
Under Storage->schedule->snapshot is set to 24/7 motion detection - yellow bars span all across all 7 days.
As an aside, does anyone know if I can copy the images from the NVR? My goal is to collect a series of snapshots and import them into Photoshop. I'm then going to overlay my detection zones with the captured snapshots and use a difference filter on the captured snapshots. This will show me pixel by pixel what exactly changes from image to image and where.
NVR - no attached files - tried all suggestions.

This seems like a bug in Amcrest's new firmware.

Re: NVR - no attached files - tried all suggestions.
From what another person has posted it sounds like it might be an issue.. To be honest I had some old systems and in the past I bought my own Email server in 2019 and got all my systems to email me as I wanted seeing that my systems were to old to get some Updates besides 1 or 2 of them so that was why I had to have my own Email.. However once I had it setup and started to get 1000's of emails a day some of them with 1 or some with 3 pictures each and all showing me nothing of what was in the screen so I said after my First year of that to Scrap the idea seeing only used the server really for 6 months before I removed all my machines from sending emails.. There are many many reasons I prefer Push notices...
1st reason while I don't understand really I have Image choose on my 2116-hs but as you can see in the youtube video of less then 2 min long as a Demo and how fast the alerts come you can see that it is more then an image, it is Fast, and I get to see anything in the scene.. Also it gives me a Time stamp so I know when to make a backup if needed when I return home..
Push is from your Recorder to your Phone and is very fast there is no delay other then the delay for you to pull the data from your own NVR as the image isn't stored on a server.. You get a Pop up with Notice of event, you click your phone to check said event and that data is pulled from your NVR or Camera to your phone,, So there is no sending out, waiting for server to talk to other server and sending a picture that might be only 1/2 there do to lag in network or some other error and if it was all there when it hits the Email server now you have a Holding place that your Data for your Security camera system could be Hijacked and now your images are tossed around the world... Push is from your DVR/NVR or Camera to your phone without anything in between holding it... Then the ability to turn them off on a day like today is so easy right from the apps..
This Video is less then 2 min long.. It shows my NVR ch2 setup for Push and you can hear sorry my Audio is so low but if turned up you can hear right after the car is out of frame that I get the alert and I then show looking at the info on my cell...
Just make it known fastest Alert for systems is Live View and Image looking at video in settings will wait for your recorded event to finish and seeing I have my system to Record for 2 min on every event that is just to long for me to wait for my Notice of Motion.. So i pick Image and in that recording you can see what it sends

About picture storage.. I have let Amcrest know if you are talking about a NVR on the NEW FW there is no access to the Images from WebUI or the NVR GUI and found that as a Flaw.. SO I let Amcrest know and they said they would pass it on to the R&D for following up I have not heard back anything about it since... So far only way I can see any of the Images on the NEW FW NVR is though the Amcrest View Pro app on my Samsung S9 phone.. While in play back click the image icon top right choose the device you want to look at and they will show on phone if there was any for the time you selected..
1 HUGE issue doing this.. It only gives you a 10 min Window to find images and that is just a PITA...
