NV4108E-HS available firmware

All my cameras are IP4M-1026EW-28mm with firmware 2.420.AC01.3.R, Build Date: 2018-02-06. These cameras don't have snapshot capability. If connected to direct to the internet, they can send an e-mail but will not have a snapshot attachment.

I have three Amcrest NVRs.

NV2104 (non-PoE, non-HS) firmware V3.200.AC00.0.R, Build Date: 2017-05-16
This NVR and firmware will send an email with snapshot attachment when motion is detected.
Note: The snapshot is captured by the NVR approx 3-5 seconds after the motion event occurs.
Note2: The NV4108 came with firmware V3.200.AC00.0, Build Date 2016-04-26. This firmware will send an e-mail but will NOT attach a snapshot.

NV4108 (non-PoE, non-HS) firmware V3.200.AC00.0.T, Build Date: 2018-02-06
This NVR and firmware will send an email with snapshot attachment when motion is detected.
Note: The snapshot is captured by the NVR approx 3-5 seconds after the motion event occurs.

NV4108E-HS (PoE) firmware V4.000.AC000, Build Date: 2020-05-21
This NVR and firmware will send an e-mail but will NOT attach a snapshot.

I have Amcrest View Pro (Andriod) V4.2.015, Build Date 20201204.
All three NVRs will send a notification to the AVP app. You can open the notification and view the one minute video but there are no snapshot shown on the picture tab.

I would like to here from someone who has an Amcrest IP5M-T1179EW-28MM camera and is using a NV4108E-HS or NV4108-HS series NVR with V4.0 firmware.
If you connect the camera direct to the internet and setup the camera to send e-mail...
Do you receive an email with snapshot attachment?
When you get an alert in the View Pro app, can you view snapshots in the app?

If you connect the camera to the PoE port on the back of the NV4018E-HS and setup the NVR to send e-mail...

If you connect the camera your LAN, setup the camera to NOT send email and setup the NV4018-HS to send e-mail...

I am considering buying an older NV4108, non-core, that has buttons on black face front. Latest firmware is v3.2. Does this NVR support h265 compression?

Sorry for my delayed response. I didn't see your question.
My NV4108 has v3.2 firmware. It does not support h265.

If fact, I have two NVRs. Both have v3.2 firmware (different release dates). Neither of them support h265. I think the v4.0 (HS) firmware is when h265 support begins.

Hummm That might have been a Question to me as I already own a NV4108H and a 4108E both non HS units.. So not sure where my name ended up there and then a Question asked but that was not a Question by me!?

I recently upgraded to 4.0 and can confirm it supports H.265.
