Revo2Maxx,
NVR: NV4108E-HS IP address 192.168.xx.111.
Cameras: IP5M-T1179EW-28MM (port-1), IP5M-D1188EW-28MM (port-2), IP4M-1026EW-28MM (port-3)
All devices have been updated with the latest firmware. All cameras are connected to NVR's PoE ports. I am trying to access the camera's webpage by clcking on the 'e' which directs me to
192.168.xx.111:10080 (1179 camera connected to NVR port 1)
192.168.xx.111:10081 (1188 camera connected to NVR port 2)
192.168.xx.111:10082 (1026 camera connected to NVR port 3)

My laptop has Windows 10 installed. I have tried browser(s) Chrome (without amcrest plugin) and Microsoft Edge (no IE compatible mode). On each camera, I am shown a login screen. I enter my camera's user/password. I am able to see the 1026 web GUI and I am able to get to the 1026 setup settings. However on the 1179 and 1188 when I click on the 'e' I receive this message. I don't get a popup where I can accept and continue to the camera.

I know the 1026 firmware is older than the 1179, 1188 (which use the same exact firmware). I understand you have been successful getting to the latter camera's web GUI via :10080 address.

What browser did you use?

There might be a limit of how many you can access at a Time I personally don't know because I have always limited my self to 2 windows outside of my NVR window using this method. So my guess is that it has to be a limit setup within the NVR.

So if you want to mess with one camera or 2 because they have settings you want to share once you are done close the windows and start the next one.

Also it might be a Limit of Chrome or Edge to be honest because I know the systems were designed to work with IE from the start and sure when the new FW came out that was HTML5 designed for Chrome or Edge, However they still work in IE and really want to be in IE.. I have noticed that I have better WebUI performance using IE.. I very rare use Chrome and almost never use Edge for WebUI.. It is going to be a really bad day for me when IE no longer works lol..

Revo2Max,
Success. I downloaded Firefox and I am able to login to the cameras plugged into the PoE ports by clicking the 'e'. After downloading Firefox

Firefox by default blocks 10080 10081... ports. To unblock the ports follow instruction found in this link.
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1083282

when asked choose 'string' and enter 10080,10081,10082,10083,10084,10085,10087

Hope this helps,

I forgot to mention that when using Firefox I was not able view the camera's video stream. However you can change the camera's settings.

So wait, While using Firefox on 4108-HS using 4.0 NVR firmware or older FW?

Can you see the camera freed when your in the Camera's WebUI?

Also not sure I understand everything either. Normally don't need to use the e off the NVR unless it is a system like 4108E-HS or some xxxxE NVR. If they are not connected to a POE port of the NVR you only need to go to the Cameras WebUI IP address of the camera So I am guessing seeing your saying that it does go to a PORT Address of 1008x and so on that it must be an e?

Chrome and Edge is 4.0 enabled FW. It will work on IE as I have said I prefer IE over all other for WebUI even though Chrome is my GOTO Internet browser. I don't like CHROME for use with any WebUI

Revo2Maxx,
My Firefox (FF) post was done hastily and I was tired.
My laptop is connected to the same local LAN as the NV4108E-HS. Using FF I can log into the NVR GUI and I am able to see the camera's Live video feeds. I go to Camera - Remote Device and click on the 'e' for one of the 1179, 1188, 1026 cameras. FF opens another tab and I am shown the camera's login screen. I enter the camera's user/password and I am shown the camera's GUI. There is a message in the box where the video would normally be shown that says 'click here to install driver' (or something like that). I ignore the message, click settings and go to the settings I want to change.

Some points to make here
The 1179 camera's encode main and sub stream are set to H.265
While using FF...
The 1179 camera is connected to PoE port on the back NVR.
I can log into the NVR.
I can see the cameras Live video feed.
When I click on the 'e',
I can log into the camera
I can NOT see the cameras Live video feed.
(I will research if FF has an IE compatible mode but that is outside scope of this message)

As an experiment, I disconnected the 1179 from the back of the NVR. I used a PoE injector and connected the 1179 to my LAN switch.
I can log into the camera.
I can see the cameras Live video H.265 main and sub stream.
(I also changed the sub stream to H.264, H264B and MJPEG. FF was able to show Live video)

My conclusion, FF is capable of decoding the H.265, H264B, H.264, MJPEG streams from the camera but does not know how to decode the video stream provide by the NVR:10080 port.

I did not try to change the camera's encode mode while it was connected to the NVR PoE port. I will try that next weekend.

My guess is that while in 'e' :10080 mode, the NVR converts the camera's video from H.265 into something else.
My question, what encode mode is the NVR providing while passing the video form the camera to the browser?

Thank you,

I am not sure really. If it was setup h.265 then it should be working in that..

I am going to guess it could be a Speed issue maybe. There are times that if there is an issue it will drop to Sub stream it might be that h.265 is the issue because in theory it was some time that it would only play in IE and outside of that I am not sure. 80% of my systems are in h.264h because of the issues I have had with my systems I even use IE for WebUI and still have some issues until I change the one to the other..

Like other day I reset my 7108-AI DVR and while my older BNC cameras will work in h.265 when I connect to some of my NVR's they are not happy so I change them back to the h.264h and things are happy again.
