NV4108-A2 has no login page, nothing pops up in any browser, but it does work from the app

Post by mlw19mlw91 »

I previously had this connected to my TV for this very reason, but I broke the ethernet cable going to it, and decided to move it back to my router location.

I have reconfigured all of my IP and DHCP settings and I need to go into the NVR to fix that, and I can't seem to do it from the app.

Help!!!

Also, there seems not to be a reset button on the NVR or I would have done that :(

When I do a port scan, the only open port on the NVR seems to be 554, although I am only scanning "Well-known TCP ports 1-10023" using "advanced port scanner".

What gives?

So there seems to be a lot going on there.. The A2 is new enough that it should be a Chrome or Edge used system. If oddly can't get to the IP of the NVR in one maybe try bringing it up in the other. I had that happen to me with one of my systems using IE, It did something using the IP and when I reset the system and tried to run again I had to use a different IP.

Also this might be what happened as well. Just looked at one of my other NVR's that I had setup for HTTPS and I have since turned off https and now going to that ip address it tries to load it in https mode still. So I have to remove the s and I can connect.

There is a few things to check and try..

About a Reset button, It seems there are some older ones that are with buttons that don't do anything like my 4116E-HS where my 2108E-HS and 2116-HS the Rest works as expected. Then have a 4108-HS that don't even have a Reset button on the board however there is a spot for one. IT has been to long and I have seen to many PCB's to remember but not only is a button missing so is a Very small Cap I think it was C38 or C58 maybe something between. It is a SMD cap that is also part of the Reset circuit so adding a wire or a switch wouldn't do anything without the little cap.

Something you might want to check is you might be able to use the IP Config Tool to get access to your system and might try Amcrest Surveillance Pro to access you footage and channels.

Then is your 4108-A2 a normal or 4108E-A2 having POE Ports on the back? or just the 1 main one for Network IP Cameras?

Also not working on HDMI or D-Sub does it say Out Of Range?
Here to help the best I can.

^ Thanks for the tip on the software. I tried 3 different browsers at this point but no luck. Tried manually putting http or https infront of the IP address, no change.

When I scan the ports, I get the following open:
554, 37777, 37779

EDIT:
Here is what worked!
http://192.168.1.21:37779/?rtspport=554&tcpport=

I clicked the link from the Amcrest Software and it brought the web interface right up! Thanks a bunch for the suggestion to do that! Now I'm going to reconfig everything

Looks like 37779 is a port forwarded setup of changing tcp port for access out side your home network. In truth P2P works better and no port forwarding and open to internet ports needed. Also easy access to port 80 in local ip access.
With access going to network area change web access back to port 80. That's what I would do anyway
