New POE On Old NVR
Hoping maybe someone here can help answer a question for me. I have an older nvr(NVR2108-E) that I would like to update my cameras to something with a bit better resolution. Can I add the newer cameras to my older nvr or would I need to update the nvr as well? Everything has worked well but would like some newer cameras. Currently looking at the IP8M-2796EB-AI cameras. Obviously the AI would be useless but the better resolution would be what I'm after. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

8mp camera would need to be down graded in the encoding area to meet the needs of your nvr. So if max resolution is 5mp and your camera don't have 5mp then would need to drop to 4mp. Would need to be changed via WebUI before connecting to poe port of nvr. If not camera won't be found. So 12v power or poe switch is needed for setup
