Newbie here - and I tried searching for this specfic topic and nothing came up. I've got an Amcrest AMDV4M4 DVR. It was used by my home's previous owner in a specific room upstairs, where the camera wires are coming out of the wall in this same room. As I have now installed a new internet service on the first floor, can I connect this DVR in its current location where the camera wires are wirelessly? I'm using a Eero mesh system with a satellite in that same room. Would this work wirelessly? Could I connect the DVR hardwired from the Eero satellite to the DVR? Just trying to see what my options are short of having to start from scratch.
Thanks in advance for any ideas and help.
Is my DVR wireless?
Re: Is my DVR wireless?
The DVR is not wireless. You could use an ethernet -> wifi conversion method but ideally you'll want it hardwired to your network. A wi-fi approach would cause more issues than it would solve in this particular case.
