Help! Can't access cameras directly

Post by YodaVader »

I rebooted the NVR now all the ports say "37777" instead of "Port 1 - Port7" and if I click the blue E it tries to open the cameras ip instead of the nvr ip+port and fails.

Example: I click on #1 and it tries to open "10.1.1.65" instead of "192.168.77.105.10080".

I've tried to manually enter "102.168.77.105.10080" and it fails too.

Idea I can't say it will work. Sounds like you will need to do a Reset back to factory and setup the cameras again.

However before you do that.. Access your cameras and number them to the ports they are connected to for easy access with sharpie or some other method that works for you.. Once you have them numbered remove them and reboot the NVR. Then put each camera back in and check that it goes back to PORT and not the normall private 37777 for local lan adding of cameras. If it don't return port 1-7 then the NVR will need to be Reset back to factory.. Good news is that all that data is stored in the camera so as soon as you connect back to the NVR after setup again all that data will return.

What NVR are you working with?

I managed to get it working again. :)

On that same page I checked the select all box and deleted all the devices. Then I waited until they popped up in the upper field. I selected them all up there and hit the add button, adding them all at once, and they added correctly. :?

Great point didn't even think about the Delete option seeing they would appear like a normal camera now where a normally connected POE port camera can't be deleted.. However in your picture oddly it is still showing the Delete so something still isn't correct.. I am going to guess this is a A2? As i don't have this issue in my 4018E-HS or my 4116E-HS.. I see you now show NVR is a 4108E so only leaves older E only.. or the A2.. If the A2 might want to make a ticket and Let Amcrest know there might be an issue with the current setup with the POE version of the A2 seeing my A2 is a non POE version..

Another issue that it might be because of the way you added the cameras it might be they were not added to the correct Port.. By doing a mass add and without the cameras being in the normal order it is hard to tell..

10.1.1.65, 66, 67, 68 for the first 4 and then can go 69 or even next step at times would be 10.1.1.12x and so on.. So it is oadd the IP they are currently on lol..
