Sadly that is an issue with most emails today... There was some relief for cameras and devices that had the 2019 FW however it seems that even with that update I have no longer been able to send any on new FW though my gmail and worse yet in 2019 I got my own server so I didn't have to worry about some of my devices that have been Discontinued. They worked great up until about 2 months ago... Now Oddly I will get maybe a email or 2 and then nothing... Sadly seeing that my Email again isn't working even with my own Email server there is no reason to keep paying for a service I am not able to use.. So out of the year I paid for my server and domain I got 10 months use without issues so not bad.. Now I will just deal with having Push on my Cell that seems the best method.. Dont need 1000 emails to sift though anyway lol..

In your setup of your cell phone when you bring up your devices you can then click the 3 lines with 3 dots on the left side top.. Then click on Push Notification, Then click the device you want, then pick type of events you want then you may want to do some testing.. I have some that you say image and it sends a 1 min video I click video and it click image or you can have it push a live view as well.. While this isn't always very good for videos as connection can be an issue for some once you find the setting that works good enough for you all your alerts will go to your phone.. On an NVR or DVR you can pick what CH you want to give you alerts.. for what ever reason On my 4108h I have it give me alerts on CH8 however oddly it will load ch8 in ch1 spot and 8 after I get an alert.. So if I want to see the real line up of my NVR I have to close out and start it in normal view.. IF I get alert and the cycle the channels 1 and 8 will be ch8... Close out bring back up and things are set right I just think it has to do with alert area for why it has both spots after alert is sent if any of that made sense...

In closing you might have to make sure your Device is added as P2P to make it work right.. It has been long time since I have setup any of my devices outside of P2P while it did work before I am not sure I ever had good view options on the devices without using P2P.. There is nothing really that needs to be done other then make sure it is Checked and that you add the device you want under p2p..

So for adding your NVR or DVR you would remove it if you setup as IP type...

To add back click the + button to add device, Then click on DVR/NVR, the on top click on Device already connected, then click P2P then it will ask you for a SN. Scan or enter it manually.. Then it will be ready to access over the network and internet...

I finally got the Email Test to work on the NVR.

Yahoo (SBCGLOBAL.NET account) stopped working around July 20th of this year.

I played around with every sort of setting and finally switched to an old Gmail account. Still did not work until I realized I had to go to the security settings ofthe google account and set up an applictaion password. Never heard of this before, but it has to do with the two factor authentication. Once I set this up, I was able to have the NVR Test Email work.

I hope this helps someone.

Unfortunately that is as far as I have gotten with email. I cannot get any motion detection alerts to send. If someone wants to help with that, please let me know.

Select Manage Your Google Account - Select Security on the left side - Find the SIgning into Google section - select App passwords. Follow on-screen menu from there.

FYI - This would only work when I used my NVR - it was not working for the individual cameras.

Email setup on my NVR (NV1104) and newer camera (IP5M-T1179E) worked fine with Gmail and an application password. Older cameras (IPM-743E) have stopped working.

The issue I have always had is that I never get a snapshot sent in the email - like ever.

My latest pain is that I finally got the newer camera setup to send alerts exactly how I wanted them, but the NVR seems to have overwritten any setting I had working. If I can get this newer camera working exactly as I need it (Sensitivity and threshold) with alerts working perfectly, and the NVR not interfering and just recording everything, I will probably just invest in two new cameras.
