Well there are a few 8MP cameras that offer Built in Mic.. I don't see any on a Fast scan that has a Input and output jack in 8mP but I didn't look to long either...
I like zoom cameras while this one is only 4x zoom it is 8mp so the clear picture will help with some Digital zoom as well.. Sadly I don't see a jack but says it has Built in Mic for 1 way audio.. I know your looking for 2 way but when I seen this I was like I could use this but for now I have to many PTZ camera already for my wife to let me buy this right now...

Anyway I have a camera myself that don't have a mic or speaker does have inputs and is a VF IR camera with alarms in and outs and all the other junk I have on a lot of my cameras lol.. I just happen to have started my Yearly Cleaning and changing out of the Gel to keep them from Fogging up.. Thought I would take a Picture or 2 and this input makes it great to get the MIC and a Speaker at the location of view....
All the wires showing besides the Eth0 port is out of view but this is a IP Camera.
This is a Picture of where I will put in a small Silica Gel packet to replace the one that I had there.. The other one is deep inside the camera body. One on the lens had maybe 12 beads discolored 30+ still good clear but I don't care to worry about it in the cold time so I will do it now anyway.. This is a DC and ICR Mega Lens..

HiYa Revo2Maxx,
You take great care of your equipment, kudos.
I like the IP8M-MT2544E, but the camera frame rate drops quite a bit when you playback at 4k, unless you choose to drop from 8MP to 3MP, specs say: Main Stream: 4K(1~15fps)/3M(1~25/30fps).
Another concern for me, is price, that baby is out of my budget, at least for now.
But it is a good option for consideration if I can't resolve the audio issue.
Thanks, as always, for you continued help!!!!

Angie, you wrote:

Yes, that's what I was thinking of. Perhaps an IP2M-841 from amazon for $36-44. Connect your mic to it and set for minimal video. It could be sitting on your NVR or anywhere indoors, or maybe protected outside. Set it for constant recording or your schedule. Maybe playback could even be synched with main camera playbacks in Surveillance Pro if desired.
The 841 would be 5V powered and connected to NVR, router, or switch with ethernet cable.

Re: Easy Viewer App
Jack7,
I ordered a T1179EW-36MM and will mount it for a Sky View and Sound. Might catch something interesting flying over or within a storm one day. I won't monitor it, just know it is there if needed.
I still feel disappointed that the admin of this forum recommended an external mic and claimed it would record to channel 1 of the NVR and I am not finding that to be the case. A lot of time and wasted money. Uggg..
I hope never to need to, but I can use video editor to extract the sound and apply it to the appropriate matching video, regardless of channel.
As always,
Thanks for your help!!!!!
