Don't want to Read Here is the The Solution for all my Recorders (DON'T TURN OFF DEFAULT ACCOUNT FROM HAVING ACCESS TO YOUR LIVE VIEW aka PREVIEW MODE)
Ok well seeing I have ran into the over some time and as time goes one it seems to happen early on or later maybe it happens not at all... However for a few NVR's and DVR's that I own from Amcrest and other Dahua Branded companies I have found the link and is why I am Writing about it...
Yesterday I took 9 Recorders I own 7 of them are required to log in to get Live view 1 of the 9 has an option that I can choose to set to only see what ever channels I want without logging in that one is my 2116-HS.. Have an older Recorder that didn't have this issue but the menus are different and it is hard to get to one place to another without a bunch of issues so I couldn't figure out what it had the others didn't that lets me see all the cameras on Reboot...
(I have asked called and even Emailed and all times got the same answer do a Factory Reset and as I said before it does work for a short time because I over look 1 key part)
So yesterday 7 of my Recorders got Factory Reset. What a Pain in the Backside... Going to Focus on 4 of them to start out, 7204 OLD CVI recorder, my 4108h, 4108E and my 3108-p.
7204 I had to log in to see any of them.. My 4108h had only my ch1 come online after a Reboot, my 4108E all had the LOCK and so did the 3108-p after a Reboot... I was like this is BS why and sadly this was done over time.. There are times that I do things in 1 and later will do it in another after not noticing it in all of them on a Reboot day lol... So yesterday I did a Mass Reboot and seen again they were all setup to have me put in my Password and I was like this is BS Just did a Reset a month or 2 ago... So went through them 7204 Reset setup and recording, 4108h Reset setup and setup 4 of the 8 cameras all going ok.. Before doing a Reset on the POE NVR I reboot the other 2 a couple of times seeing they share Camera locations and want to make sure when I reset the POE NVR all other cameras are being viewed.. So I Reset the 4108E and this time I went though and did some other things that I don't look at often and that is the Accounts setup. This time I went into accounts and setup only to have ch8 give live view to the default account because I normally turn them off incase there is a backdoor into the DVR/NVR they can only see the last Ch however on my CVI unit and my 4108h it is only my CH1 that I will give access to later on normally I don't think about this right away and I won't make the change on the Recorders at same time or day and so it seems like something Random has caused the issue... However this time because my 4108E and my 2116-HS are both on a Monitor shared with other systems but are on by default I was looking at the 4108E to setup everything as I wanted right now not something I can or wanted to just get the cameras loaded back on and recording again I wanted things to be setup the way I wanted... My 4108h, 7204 and 3108-p are all no longer given outside access so they are Denied in my Router and have no access to the systems over P2P or WAN ip and only my 8ch Dahua, and my 2116, and 4108e are able to be accessed over P2P by my Network Setup to try and keep my CCTV little better Closed up... Hence the CC in CCTV... Well When I setup my 4108E and all came online all was good because I was logged into it. It wasn't until after changing a Camera on my NVR from CH8 to 1 that I made the connection... That was because this time Ch1 was off and I had it setup for that camera to be on CH8 however I hadn't setup CH8 so I didn't see it was off or Locked just thought it was not showing because it wasn't connected..
So I tested this and Sure enough I went back to 7204, 4108h and setup so CH1 would be on only and rest I had it so the Default user wouldn't be able to see any of the other ch's I guess the Default user don't Mean anything from the outside world? just being able to do things on the system it self and Local account?
I don't know but I thought I would share my Findings seeing I hadn't understood why they went off only knew that after being told to do a Reset of the system it would always have them on for a short time that was until I made it to the User menu and turned off all Default account settings because I was trying to secure my systems from the outside...
