Shouldn't have to power cycle the Recorder for it to take effect...
SO Anti-Dither I change to 0
Post Record I have setup different depending on the type of camera Post it is on. However they range from 30 to 120 again depends on what that camera is recording and what type of motion I expect to get.
So I will say this. While it may or may not matter but just to be sure I would if you have already setup your push and it wasn't working because the settings that were just set hadn't been set yet. I would turn off the Push from the App and close out of the app. Then open app and setup the Push for the channel you want your notice to be on. While I am not 100% sure that was my issue one time I set this up and wasn't getting a image even after making them changes it wasn't working and only thing I changed to where it was working was me turning off the Push notice for the NVR. I went to set up but got a Call so I closed the app took the call and after the call ended 3 or 5min after closing the app I went back and setup the push and it was working.. Now I just set up everything. If I forget to do it again after a NVR Reset I just turn off push make changes in NVR, then setup push.. Just wanted to keep it all out what I have done to get it to work for me...
Camera settings - where are they stored?
Re: Camera settings - where are they stored?
Yeah there is no way to View Snapshots after the NEW update but that option needs to be setup for Push and image emails to take effect.. Sadly something you might want to keep in mind is that ASP isn't good if your running a NVR and personally it can change settings without being known and wanted.. I use ASP on a Computer away from my Normal Network computer and don't use it anymore to access my NVR's or DVR's because it seems to mess things up mostly with Times but I have notice some Encoding changes as well..
Only way to view images is on your Phone if you are using an droid phone like Samsung S9 or something like that iOS not sure playback is working on apple products yet I have not opened my iphone for a while now..

Re: Camera settings - where are they stored?
Screen shots of my NVR. The VH setting was on by default. The latest user manual (ver 1.0.5, November 23, 2020) page 56 shows the VH setting but does not explain what it does.
From what you describe, should be able to access the camera(s) settings from the LAN side of the switch?
Maybe VH mode is causing snapshots to not work?
Re: Camera settings - where are they stored?
OK some things to note.. Some reason Ch3 of mine I setup both 2 and 3 for push. I got notice for both I checked 3 first and got a no record checked 2 and it showed the push 3 images. so I will have to find out what and why..
Next another thing to note.. For some reason it seems the image View on app is being a POS I can only get play back history of 10min not sure what that deal is because it used to be I could do a whole day but I am guessing it is caused by FW limits.. I am not sure why yet but I am going to Reboot my NVR because CH2 is giving images and ch3 that I have setup to push it is setup same as ch2 but still get the no record humm
Went to post and seen your new post about VH
Not sure that is related.. That is just an ability to access your POE camera from your network side without having to have a crossover cable in place on a open port...

Re: Camera settings - where are they stored?
Yes you don't want Images setup for Full time recording as it will just fill up your NVR...
So something odd I don't understand what or why...
So I couldn't get CH3 to give a Picture. SO I logged into the Camera WebUI and even though ch2 and ch3 both don't have MSD card there is only 1 change I made since the last time it gave me a Empty Notice and that was I setup in my Camera to make Images on motion.. That was only thing changed and click on Motion, Snapshot Picked 3 and saved and I now get snapshots in my NVR for CH3 it wasn't like that before the UPDATE to the current FW
Now not only do I get the image in my Push but I can now get the image form my NVR using the app sadly again only have 10min of time I can search from starting to think that is because I have my Cameras setup for normal Record time that was set to 8 normally I changed to 10 and wonder if that is what is causing this block..

Re: Camera settings - where are they stored?
I apologize for the overlapping questions.
I was first confused about ASP. I am a programmer by profession and ASP is a computer language. I now understand you mean Amcrest Surveillance Pro. haha. I will not use ASP anymore.
Lets talk about the phone app.
I have a Samsung S8+ with View Pro version 4.2.015, build 20201204. It would be nice if Amcrest would provide a user manual for the app.
On my phone app, Push Notifications-Configuration shows my NVR device. When I select the NVR I am shown
NVR: selection slider is enabled
Push Type: Image
Motion Detect: Camera-1 (only). I can choose more but I only have Camera-1
Audio Detected: nothing selected
Cam Masking: nothing selected
Face Detection: nothing selected
HDD Alarm: nothing selected
So, when you say to turn push off, close app, open app and turn push on... Do you mean
NVR: set selection slider to off
then close app
open app
and turn selection slider back on?
I appreciate your time helping me.

Re: Camera settings - where are they stored?
Yes kind of lol...
Problem is when you turn off push it turns off the whole setup and you will need to setup again..
So once you bring up the app, click on Push, Then click on the item in my case I have my NVR called 4kNVR. SO I tick that and it now shows Push Type Live View but I want Image, so I click that and change to image, I then click Motion Detection, This opens my LIst of 16ch for my NVR, I am going to turn on 1 in my case a 2015-841NfW camera, Press the back arrow at the top left side, then press the Disk icon at the top right of the page.. IF you wanted and or had other features listed you could go and add them but for now I stick with 1 camera like you said CH1..
That took my to my Configuration page where all my devices are with the ones that are Disabled listed as such an the others that are enabled with the > showing on this page. Press the < on the left to go back it will now be at Push Notifications page press the 3 dots and 3 lines on the top left then click live view at least that is what I did.. Then click the back arrow at the bottom to back out of the app it will ask if you want to say yes and wait for motion to test if it worked.. Oddly just as I got there I had a motion I clicked it right away and said no Record however I hit back button that took me to the Event list aka All Alarms of the app. I clicked on it again and now it showed 3 images

Re: Camera settings - where are they stored?
I think I have NVR and phone app setup same as you but I don't get pictures, just a blue dot moving across bottom of the apps screen. I do get a one minute video under the left icon.
I did find that if you set Push Type to Video then when you tap the notification, the app defaults to the video playback (left icon) instead of the picture playback (middle icon). The Push Type setting doesn't control what is sent, it seems to control what view you want to see when you click on the notification.

Re: Camera settings - where are they stored?
VH mode question
The IP address of the LAN side of is 192.168.xx.123.
The channel 1 camera's PoE address is 10.1.1.1xx.
What IP address do you enter into the browser to get to the camera?
Thank you,

Re: Camera settings - where are they stored?
So I am not 100% sure for your NVR as they can be different and here is something to try anyway...
Let say your Home network is 192.168.0.1 Is your Router IP
Let say your computer is 192.168.0.51
Lets just say that your NVR is 192.168.0.123
So just as your NVR is try adding 65001 for CH1, and 65002 for Ch 2 and so on.. So maybe 192.168.0.123:65001
I would guess that if that didn't work then maybe if you ran Nmap on your NVR Ip it might tell you all the ports that are open just make sure that you setup the TCP port count high enough to maybe read upto 80000 should be high enough to get to what port would open what camera
