Wireless mouse?

I have the 960H DVR located in a room adjacent to the related monitor. I tried to use a wireless mouse to control it, but it didn't connect. Is there any technical reason why this might not work with this unit? I could be that the mouse or the USB receiver is defective. There is no connection even when I locate the mouse near the DVR.

Wireless mouse should work with the device. Like you said it could be a faulty mouse or the DVR receiver. Can you try another mouse like the one below.
