Really hard to find info on this camera. Looks amazing but I want to know if there will be a problem with the IR illumination scattering back into the camera lens.

The IR and Camera lens don't share the same glass. Only an issue on how the Camera is Mounted. IE to close to Reflective siding or to far under the eves, or to close to plants that have reflective leaves. It is hard to explain however if you had say a 841, 941 or other with this type of IR you would see that looking at the camera it just looks like a Lens with black glass going around it. However when it turns on at night if you have them on anyway... Then one of the things about Amcrest Cameras unlike others out on the market they offer a Smart IR. This is good and bad to a degree. Good because when you have them on and it is to close to the house or what ever and there is loads of flooding the camera it knows and lowers the IR down some. So really good in the fact you can still see the area just under low light. However if you took the camera and moved it away from the house little more the IR would be Brighter and give more coverage of video. However it is better then the others out there because some have the IR come on and if it is to close to the house or soffit or what ever it will just FLOOD the camera lens with LIGHT and the camera don't pick up anything... The camera has upto 160ft of Night vision and some of that might or might not be related to the 4 X Opt zoom that it offers. So at times you zoom in and the IR can get brighter for the area of view..
Be Safe.
