Where are Snapshots?

I am trying to get three cameras setup to record to the NV4108 NVR.

My goals are:
1. record a video clip of any motion (few seconds before and after)
2. save a few snapshots of the motion for easy review
3. email me one or more of the snapshots so I can see if it was something interesting or just a bird on the porch

So far I have them recording the clip correctly (#1) but I have to review them by watching them from the website created by the NVR.

I have snapshots option checked but can't find them in the interface anywhere.

Where are the snapshots?

In general should the settings be done on the NVR or the individual cameras?
