Newbie here needing help i have an old am crest setup IPM cam 4 channel NVR wanted to add a new camera to front of the house wanted it to have tracking i got the al-p402w but will not work with my NVR or any of the am crest software I have i did get the am crest link to get it to work and i really like the camera and the way it works could someone tell me what camera would be like this and work with my old system the best thing i like is the 49 dollar price tag don't want to spend couple hundred bucks and somebody take a bat to it. Any help would be approached, I would not mind if had to upgrade NVR thanks ken

Well if you are working with the 1104 then you would want to upgrade to a different NVR at least the 4108-A2..

Hey, totally get where you're coming from. The AL-P402W is a great budget camera, but since it’s not fully compatible with your old Amcrest NVR, you're likely running into firmware/protocol mismatches. If you're sticking with your current setup, look into models like the IP2M-852 or IP4M-1026 — both tend to play nicely with older Amcrest NVRs and still come at a fair price. They don’t have full auto-tracking, but solid for general coverage. If you’re open to upgrading the NVR, you’ll have more flexibility for newer cameras, including ones with smart tracking.
