I agree with your post in full. It describes my situation in depth. I have a Amcrest NVR NV2108E and the last firmware update was 05/16/2017, over a year ago.

Is Amcrset ever going to address this major flaw with a firmware update? If so, what is the release date.

New customer here - definitely I agree; ability to adjust for day & night mode. Bugs create a lot of false positives; rain basically is non-stop alerts.

I have been tweaking my settings for daytime alerts; I'm currently at Sensitivity 40 / Threshold 15 for roughly half the screen area. Works pretty good during the day with some false positives due to bugs.

AMCREST: It affects all cameras. So dont ask for model numbers. Just implement it
I have 3MP and 4MP cameras and same issue
