Video Standard - Can only select NTSC

Post by Bat 'n' Ball »

Hello,

I have the IP2M-841 IP Security Camera with the following software/firmware:
  • Software Version 2.420.AC00.11.R, build : 2016-01-06
    WEB Version 3.2.1.318298
    ONVIF Version 2.4.1
In the Web GUI >> System >> General >> General, I can only select the Video Standard 'NTSC'.

I live in the United Kingdom and the video standard here is PAL.

With this being a selectable drop-down menu, I was expecting more than one item to chose from.

Have I missed something obvious which would enable more options?

Thank you for any help,

Paul.

Hello Bat 'n' Ball,
Are you having any issue with getting the camera image to load? I believe this setting does not have any effect on the Ip based models and it should work in the UK as well.

Hi Melvin,

The image loads fine but if there is a fast moving object, for example a car going by, there is a slight stutter every second which can be indicative of NTSC on a PAL system.

There's no big problem, but because the Video Standard has been made available as an option, you could well be forgiven for assuming an option would be there to choose from!

Best wishes.

Paul.
