I got my IP3M-956EB set up over the weekend, and everything was looking great, until it got dark last night. The night vision mode picture is pretty bad, and looks dim and blurry. Here's a screenshot of what I'm talking about: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/155 ... 050949.jpg
Before mounting the camera outside, I did test it in the dark in my basement (albeit with the dome off), and the night vision mode worked great. I could see things across the room pretty clearly. So, I don't think it's a problem with the night vision itself, but more something with the dome. The daytime picture works great, and I have no issues with it. Is there some trick I'm missing to make the night time video work with the dome?

Re: Very poor night vision image
Hello joshyz73,
Please check for condensation inside the camera and also make sure that the rubber ring around the lens is still in place. It looks like that ring isn't sealing against the glass allowing the IR light to reflect back into the lens.

Thank you. I did check for condensation, and didn't see anything. I will check the ring today, but I don't recall it touching the glass at all. I'll report back once I've checked.Melvin wrote:Hello joshyz73,

I checked the camera, and the rubber ring is present, but did not appear to be touching the dome. I tried pulling the ring out some, and then replacing the dome. It made an improvement, but it's still not great:

I'm not sure if there's any way to do better. I did note that a person showed up decently (not in the screenshot). Is this pretty much expected output? The camera is roughly 20 feet (diagonal) from the mailbox in the picture. This is the same view right now, with daytime mode (it's at the 720p setting as well): https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/155 ... 074103.jpg
