I did some checking and other IP cameras will work, but I never found anything specific to this Amcrest product.
Here is what I want to do, use this camera with OBS Studio for live streaming.
Will it work? and How to make it happen?
Using IP2M-841 with OBS
Re: Using IP2M-841 with OBS
I've never actually used OBS Studio but from what I've read, the easiest way would be to use VLC connected to the RTSP stream of the camera and passing it from VLC to OBS.
You'll find examples of how to access the camera rtsp stream in the forum e.g. https://amcrest.com/forum/viewtopic.php ... eam#p34189

Thanks I will check it out, then try some experiments, I am not using Blue Iris but the Amcrest Surveillance pro app.

In this case you would bypass ASP and connect directly to the camera video feed via rtsp:

Well I got the camera online, and set up, I used the IP config app, now I just need to find the RTSP address.

Welper, I managed to get the stream into VLC, but OBS doesn't work, I think I need some more info.
Re: Using IP2M-841 with OBS
I think you're probably more likely to get help in the OBS forum - https://obsproject.com/forum/ although someone else who has experience with it might chip in here.
Good luck with it and sorry I can't help further.

Re: Using IP2M-841 with OBS
I got everything working this morning, the video has about a 1 sec delay, I kind of expected that, and the audio also has a crazy delay. I will work on the audio problem today, not much I can do with the video delay, with network lag and such.
Re: Using IP2M-841 with OBS
That's good news. You can pull the audio and video back together in VLC if the lag between the two is consistent as described here - https://wiki.videolan.org/VLC_HowTo/Adjust_audio_delay/
