I just set up a H960 unit and I can't get it to work in a browser. When I enter the HTTP address I just get the "Install Plugin" page. I have downloaded and installed the plugin multiple times with no results.
I also installed the software program onto my computer and can login through it but even it doesn't show anything but blank screens.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Unable to connect with browser
Re: Unable to connect with browser
I had the same problems. It appears that Firefox is the only browser that works. Chrome keeps wanting me to install the extension and never loads.
I can now connect with Firefox but it shows blank cameras for me.

Re: Unable to connect with browser
if you have the blank screen page amcrest web view, you have to type the url in the search bar and then it will work.

Re: Unable to connect with browser
I've got it working in FireFox but only for local access. Still working on remote access. I hate that I have to download a new browser just for this thing. I'm really thinking about just sending it back to Amazon and getting something else. I can't wait to post a review for this!

Hello penpoint,
It works on Firefox as wells Internet Explorer in Windows and Safari in Mac. To easily access the DVR remotely, you can go to www.amcrestlink.com and add your system there. There is also another way to access the interface by setting up port forwarding. Please feel free to call out technical support for any help from 8am to 7.30 PM CST and we are more than happy to help you out.

Is http://www.amcrestlink.com/ legitimate?
...the whois is very different from main site. amcrestlink.com is registered by an individual "Yusuf Ravat" with a gmail address. Also site can't be reached over SSL, so to login you need to do it over clear text... not advised.

Re: Unable to connect with browser
When you access your NVR or Wireless cameras inside your WIFI network, does it uses INTERNET signal to connect? the connection is really slow when i connect using my wifi... and if my internet speed is ok and fast then i can connect fast to the cameras, but if my internet speed is bad... then the connection to the cameras is bad... so im thinking that if im in the same home network it should be really fast, please advice.

Hello julisjulis ,
It uses internet if the camera is added with the serial number. You can add the cameras with its local Ip and then it will only use the local network.
