Two Way Audio Echo Problem

Post by ndcube »

I have two cameras set up the exact same way. The IP3M-941 and IP2M-841.

The IP3M-941 works fine.

When I use the Android App or Amcrest Pro PC software I get a large echo when speaking to the IP2m-841. Could this be a bug in the firmware? I have seen other posts where this happens to users with no resolution of the issue.

ndcube, were you ever able to resolve this problem?

I just bought an IP2M-841EW, and I've found I have the same problem you describe. However I try speaking through the camera, there's a pop and then a continuous echo that gets progressively higher pitched and more aggressive until I turn off my remote mic. I've tried even disabling the camera's mic, thinking it was some audio feedback issue between its mic and speaker, but even that didn't help.

Hello and welcome to the Forum.

Here is some things I would try and see if this was the issue. One check camera for dust or some object covering the mic area..
last thing I would try and I know people don't want to think about this. But the Install position might be the cause as well. Try moving the camera placement and try the 2 way and see if the Echo keeps going on. If it does Maybe make a Video clip of the Placement and Echo and someone might be able to better help you with the issue.
Be Safe.

Most modern IP cameras have such additional functionality as a speaker for listening to video with sound, but sometimes echo is heard. There are suggestions why this happens?
