Turret (IP8M-T2499EW-28MM) vs Bullet (IP8M-2496EW-28MM)

I was wondering what the difference was in application of a Turret vs Bullet camera? Is there a specific application for a these types? So if there is space to install either which one should be installed?

between the 2 the Turret is less likely to be damaged by someone pulling it off the wall ceiling or where ever it is mounted because it is not as easy to get a rope or something around to pull it down or even Move it from its current view point...

With the Bullet it is by a lot of people a better proven platform because it was taken from the box camera that has been made for many many years.. The Camera has a smaller foot print to make it easier to mount to areas that are not as wide... Meaning the mounting base might be I haven't looked it up but might be around 2 1/2 in where the Turret would need a good 4 or more inches to mount it...

Only down fall with the Bullet design is the ability to knock it out of view or worse yet pull it down...

Turret is good for the people that have issues with Dome IR reflections because of the design there is no dome covering the camera and the IR Reflections would be less... Still can happen if the camera isn't installed right however not because of a dome only because of the surface or foliage being to close to the IR and camera...

The IP8M-2496 has a microphone.
Get the 4mm instead of the 2.8mm if you want less distortion.
