Status Offline

Post by allintuit »

Trying to link up my smartphone via the Lite App that I installed so I can remote view. I scanned the QR code but it says it's unable to connect. Looked in the P2P and it says status offline. Made sure ethernet is connected to my modem. All other devices are working fine with my home internet.. laptop and cell phone.. both my wired connection and wifi are fine. Why isn't my DVR connecting to internet?

Hello allintuit,
Are you able to manage the DVR settings from a monitor? Please try the steps below if you can.
1) Go to Settings > Network > TCP IP and check the box that says DHCP.
2) Save the settings are then reboot the DVR
3) Check if the P2p status is online.
4) Add the camera to the app again with QR code.

I have already tried that. I spent 2 hours on the phone with tech support. We tried everything he could think of. At the end he said I needed to return my equipment because it was faulty. I just feel like there is something he missed. He was very difficult to understand, with a thick accent.

Hello allintuit,
Sorry about that. Even if the P2p is offline there is an other way around with port forwarding. We would really like to help you with that. Have you tried setting up port forwarding?
