Standalone Microphone for Amcrest System

Hello.  I am very interested in locating and purchasing a standalone microphone that is compatible with my Amcrest NVR/DVR system, model NV1104.  My NVR/DVR is connected to my television and my cameras are setup to be wireless.  I have 4 cameras. Can I purchase a microphone directly from Amcrest?  If not, do you know where I can purchase a microphone that would be compatible with my system?  Thank you.

Hello JasonB110,

If the cameras support audio, you will be able to record audio on all channels. The audio encode mode on the cameras will have to be changed to G.711A manually for the audio to work.

If you connect an external MIC on the NVR, it can only record to channel 1. We do not have these MIC's. The one below can be tried.

I bought the VideoSecu High Sensitive Preamp Microphone Audio Pickup Device Sound Voice Pickup Kit with 100 Feet Cable and Power Supply WUH, based on your advice and have set it up.

I have an NV5208E with 4 IP8M-2597EW-4MM cameras. I can't get the audio to record to channel 1.

When I click on the mic icon, I can hear the outdoor mic just fine, but nothing is recording.

The outdoor mic is plugged into the mic input on the back of the NVR.

Under Encode for channel 1, I CANNOT select audio check boxes. The are not highlighted as select-able and have a red ring around them.

I would really like to know how I can get the VideoSecu High Sensitive Preamp Microphone to record on channel 1 of this NV5208E?
