Snapshots accuracy

It has been over a week of trying to get full functionality from the NV2104E. I had technicians call and go through settings and the results are the same. This unit takes snapshots of moving cars instead of it's intended target, which is entering and exiting the premises. I can literally walk outside and look directly at the camera and will not receive one email with my face in the snapshot. The only thing that I receive are half blurred photos.
