Re: setup change by itself
Hello,
Have you added your camera in Amcrest Cloud? If so the settings for the cloud will overwrite the camera settings automatically and I think this is what is happening in your case. You can set up the required settings with the Cloud and it should stay that way always.

Hello,
I apologize the cloud does not have any setting for Overlay. Other settings like flip and Video Quality is there though. Not sure why the overlay does not stay. We will do some testing and escalate it to R&D team asap. We apologize for the inconvenience its causing.

Re: setup change by itself (solve)
Hi,
I have the same issue. I set time overlay but it disappears after a while, I guess because of the cloud config sync explained above. Can you please keep us updated when the fix is expected or if there is any workaround other than removing the camera from the cloud that service I'd still like to use for cloud recording, etc.
Thanks,
Peter

Re: setup change by itself (solve)
I'm glad I searched in the forum for this because I thought I was going crazy. I keep setting up the overlay with the date and time and then it just disappears within a day or two. It's a really nice feature, so hopefully this will get fixed soon.
Re: setup change by itself (solve)
Several months later, and me the new camera owner finds this must have never gotten fixed by Amcrest. Nice camera but how about fixing this?

I'm having this same issue but I do use the cloud. @jmlteck's response above isn't a "solution" for the cloud users... If this is indeed the case, why not add the overlay to the cloud based software? Amcrest, where are we at for this?jmleteck wrote:i find a solution somewhere here on this forum.in fact i remove completely my cam on the cloud.and now the time is always on screen
