SD Cards - what works best ?

Post by golf4387 »

I have a IP2M-841.

I'm wondering if any Amcrest users have tested different types of SD cards in their cameras... (class 10, U1, U3, V30,
etc...) and if you have found any change in quality or performance... please post your findings. Thanks

If you have an SD Card in a IP2M-841 please tell me what kind of card it is, and if you're experiencing any playback issues.

I have a ScanDisk - 32GB Ultra Plus card, and I'm experiencing issues with choppy playback. Typically when the camera is already recording (triggered by motion detection), and then a sudden movement happens. This is where I most commonly find the video skips. {an example might be, a person walks in the room and sits down, so the video starts recording, then after a minute stands up; it seems like the standing up then triggers the video to skip or lock, and the next thing I know the video jumps forward 30 secs in time and the person is gone from view}
I tried different dither setting... right now I'm trying 99... I already tried a low number and a number in the middle, but the video still skips. But I'm also wondering if a faster video card would help. Anyone using a Scandisk Extreme or Extreme Pro card ???
