Rolling Back Firmware IP8M-T2499EB

Post by patric »

One of my IP8M-T2499EB cameras gives me the dreaded "IE No Longer Supported" when I poke it with IP Config, so I would like to roll back the software to an earlier version.
The current SW version is V2.622.00AC000.0.R.
What version do I need to go back to and where can I download it?

IF your Camera has on a NEW FW of JS format that takes away IE and is Chrome enabled and fixes the Gmail email issue there is no way to go back and if there is no option on your FW page of an older FW it may or may not Brick your camera if you go back... At least some of the features that are in the camera with JS FW if went back to old FW may at the least not function or function correctly if you were to have an old FW saved and went back on your own.. The Camera could become unstable

No longer able to use common browsers sounds unstable, IMHO.

Id like to hear others experiences with restoring older versions of their camera's software because frankly, having to keep track of which browser will work with which camera in a set of otherwise identical cameras, is for the birds.

I just upgraded to the latest firmware on two of my IP8M-T2499E's and had one work fine and one brick.

The second one just says 404 when attempting to use the web interface.
ONVIF works for about 45 seconds at a time and then reboots.
I've tried a hard-reset from the button inside the camera as well as attempted to re-flash via the IP Config tool.

The IP config tool upgrade tool fails.
I'm stuck... Support has not been helpful at this point.
