I have 4 Foscam cameras that I access remotely via port forwarding on my Verizon Actiontec router.
On the router, for the internal (192.168.x.x) IP address I forward the HTTPS port as both TCP/UDP port for each camera (each camera with a unique port).
I'm then able to connect to each camera over https:\\<router IP>:<unique port per camera> and it works fine externally.
On the Amcrest, not so much.
I port forwarding configured the same as the Foscams. It connects to the camera remotely, presents me with the normal login credential dialogue but when I log in I get a pop-up stating "Authorize failed, Please login again!". I've tried different accounts with different passwords (including under 6 characters). I've tried different browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome (the Amcrest View app)).
If I log in locally to https:\\192.168.x.x:<https port>, it works.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Remote access login failure
Re: Remote access login failure
Hello,
With the Amcrest IP camera, you should also forward the https,TCP and UDP ports. You can access it externaly with the address https://ip:httpsport but the TCP port must be open for this.Lggin to the camera and go to Set up > Network > Connection and you can find all the camera port numbers there.

Re: Remote access login failure
Melvin,
Thank you for the quick reply and info again.
I'm now forwarding the 5 digit TCP and UDP ports as well as the HTTPS port. I still get "Authorize failed, Please login again!" when logging in externally and it still works when logging in internally.
I forwarded the RTSP port for fun as well but it didn't help.
Still appreciate the suggestions though.

Hello,
Have you verified that the TCP and HTTPS ports are open? You can do so by going to www.canyouseeme.org from the local computer where the camera is located.

Re: Remote access login failure
I get a Success message.
Maybe a factory reset will help here too. I'll try it and report back.

Re: Remote access login failure
I am going to throw something out that may sound crazy... Are you trying to log in with the default "admin" account? I cannot log into my camera with any account other than "admin" even though I created another administrative account that has the same privileges. I have the 721S.

Re: Remote access login failure
I tried using the Admin account just now. Same error.
Thanks for the suggestion though.
It must be something about my environment. I don't see other people having the problem. I have several cameras and DVRs. All work externally with pretty simple port forwarding but perhaps since I have so many devices, I've reached some capacity challenge. It's a shame. This camera seems pretty nice for the price. Not blaming the camera. It just may not work in my situation.

Re: Remote access login failure
I am getting the same error ever since I installed the latest firmware. I can log in from my home network, and I can access the camera from the app, but I cannot log in from a remote PC. All the proper ports are open and forwarded.

Hello,
If this is after a firmware update, you need to remove and reinstall the plugin for the device. The below link explains the process. After removing the plugin , please clear the browser cache as well.
