Recording motion events only

Post by mannys »

I have two IP2M-841 Cameras. I believe I have configured them both the same but one records and stores all events and one records and stores only motion events. I would really like to only store motion events.

In the Event/Video Detection section I have checked: Enable, Record, and Snapshot. Is there somewhere else that this is configured?

In PC View Pro, go to Setup/Storage/Schedule and change record types and recording times to what you want.
Or, in Android/IOS View Pro, go to Configuration Center/Recording Schedule.

Anti-Dither is 5 seconds. Record delay is 10 seconds. The setting is the same for both.

The problem is that one is only saving video for motion detection and the other is saving all video.

Jack7 - The recording time for both is set 24x7 for both. General, Motion and Alarm. Both are set the same but are behaving differently.

Thanks

Hello mannys,

You need to uncheck the 'general' option to only have motion enabled under setup > Storage > Schedule and this should do it.

I appreciate everyone's suggestions on this. Unfortunately none of them resolved the problem (including unchecking the "genera" option in Storage.
