I recently purchased and installed the Amcrest 960H security system. It's been working well and I've been accessing it online through Mozilla. Today I upgraded to Windows 10 and can no longer access it.
I get the error message:Please left-click the following icon to download and upgrade the plugin.
Please restart the browser after upgrade.
When I click the download link I save DvrWebClient_32.exe and then attempt to run it. I answer Yes at the prompt but nothing happens after that. I've attempted to run Windows troubleshooter for compatibility issues but still cannot make it work.
Any suggestions as to what I should do?
Question about Amcrest 960H
Re: Question about Amcrest 960H
Hello,
Please try to remove the installed plugin from your computer.
Firstly, navigate to the Downloads folder and ensure that DvrWebClient_32.exe isn’t already in the Downloads folder. If DvrWebClient_32.exe is already in the Downloads folder, move it to the trash or delete that executable file.
Secondly, navigate to the C:\ Drive and, depending on the computer (whether the operating system is Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 or 10), you may need to search the location to verify the old plugins aren’t currently installed:
C:\Program Files\npdvrclient
OR
C:\Program Files(x86)\npdvrclient
If you were able to navigate to the folder, navigate further to find uninstall.bat . It needs to be run as administrator. Make sure all internet browsers are closed, Internet Explorer, Chrome, FireFox, etc. Open the Task Manager and make sure they’re not running any processes in the background.
Now run the uninstaller and make sure all the files are deleted by navigating back to the link provided above. If the folder is not empty, you will need to ensure you've closed out any browser that is still running. From here, you can go ahead and delete the folder.
After uninstalling the plugin, please login to the DVR and it will prompt you to download the plugin. Try to install the plugin.
If It is still not working, please try it on Internet Explorer.

Re: Question about Amcrest 960H
Thank you. I've done as you said but still cannot get it to run.
Uninstalled using the .bat file and tried to open in Mozilla. Nothing. Opened in IE. I click the download button. Download the program . Click yes when asked if I want to allow this app to make changes. But nothing happens

Re: Question about Amcrest 960H
Well, that worked as far as I was able to download and run the program. But every time it runs for a minute I get this:

Re: Question about Amcrest 960H
I've fixed the problem. Apparently certain startup plugins had been disabled. I enabled them and all is working now. Thank you!
Re: Question about Amcrest 960H
Hi,
Good to hear that .

Re: Question about Amcrest 960H
I have the exact same issue. Which startup plugins had to be reenabled?
Re: Question about Amcrest 960H
I have this same issue with my new Qsee system (guess Amcrest makes this?). I have only Windows 10 and the browser plug-in does not work.
