QCAM POE NVR Camera Question
QCAM POE NVR Camera Question
I have the QCAM 3MP NVR system. It is working well. I would like to give my cameras that are attached to the NVR static IP’s but it looks like the NVR is assigning IP’s that are on a 172.16.25.0 subnet. How can I assign static IP’s to the cameras? I connected my laptop to one of the NVR ports and tried to assign the camera static ip but I would get a General Network IP failed error.
Re: QCAM POE NVR Camera Question
Has anyone replied to this or did you figure it out because I have the same issue.
Thanks,

Re: QCAM POE NVR Camera Question
Hello m271318,
When cameras are connected to NVR's POE port, the IP address is assigned by the NVR itself. It actually hides the cameras from the network. If you want to manage the cameras individually, you will have to directly connect the cameras to the Network through a POE switch not through the NVR.
