Power cord
Power cord
My cameras are ip2m-841 with USB type power cords and I have a power strip/surge protector that has USB charging ports rated at 5 volts at 2.4 Amp, the camera's of 120 volt power inverter says that the output is 5 volts at 2 Amp can I safely plug the cameras into the power strip UBS ports so I can eliminate the 120 volt power inverter, so I can have an open 120V receptacle on my power strip?

Re: Power cord
Chances are no. I'd bet the power strip's rated 2.4A is not *per port* (usually they're 1.2A each), and without knowing how it's designed/wired, you can't safely parallel them.
If you can *confirm* that the power strip can provide 2.4A on a single port, then yes, this should work (though you may need to buy or make the appropriate cable to connect it).
