Poor quality after connection via video.cgi

Post by m6284505 »

Just setup my IP2M-842E and all was well. Video looks great as expected.
However, when streaming it live via a browser using this code:

Code: Select all

http://user:[email protected]:5/cgi-bin/mjpg/video.cgi?[channel=0]&subtype=0
(of course using my user, pass, my internal ip and port) the video is degraded in the stream and while connected to the camera directly on the local network. Nothing I can do seems to fix it except doing a factory reset.
I restarted the camera and the computer I was viewing it from and it still displays degraded video afterwards. I attached a before and after screen shot of what the video looks like.

If I stream with this code:

Code: Select all

http://user:[email protected]:5/cgi-bin/mjpg/video.cgi?[channel=0]&subtype=1
the video is tiny and low quality but the issue does not happen. It's only when I use subtype=0.

Any ideas on how to resolve this? I wanted to stream this but I can't with the video looking so bad.

Consider yourself lucky with that much quality. This is a picture of my boy sleeping in his nursery bed. I post it with no worry as I dare you to find ANYTHING in it. LOL
