I can't win for nothing.
Trying to set up poe camera with phone amcrest view app.
Followed directions on app.
Says failed to connect.
I have never had so much problems setting up a camera.
Tried wifi as well.
If I plug into the nvr it works. But I need to get and change ip address.

Hello James, It is not a win or loose it is what makes us pull out our hair lol...
Anyway best thing to do if you want to change the IP is use the WebUI. Only thing you can change in app about Network is Static and DHCP...
So I am not sure how your system is setup... Sadly most cases if your camera is behind a POE NVR then it is like its own Firewall for your Secrurity... There are things that can be done to connect your camera and computer to same range...
However that don't help with what you are trying to do...
One of the reasons I don't like IP camera and NVRs...
So what needs to be done is you need direct access to your camera on your main network range. To do this if your camera is setup to get IP from NVR if it is setup with a Static IP then there is other things you can do...
But what needs to be done is use a Power supply poe switch or Y Adapter to power your camera with the cable connected to your main router/hub or switch... Once it powers on, bring up IE and type in the IP of the camera, Log into it with the User name and password as setup. Then you can go to setup, network and make the changes you need to make.. Always make sure to save your changes when you want them saved before you leave that page. So like Network, Ip, change address anything that is on that page you can see press save or apply if you don't and click on another link within the setup what you changed on that page will not be saved
