I have a NV4108E-HS, and I access it directly from the box, on the web viewer with IE browser, and with the Amcrest viewer pro iOS app.
No matter which I use, I can't get the playback timeline to work properly. Say I click on roughly 08:45, when playback actually starts, it might star from 08:00, or 07:30, or 06:54. It seems totally random, but it always plays from a point significantly earlier than where I clicked and it has never played from where I clicked (or where I slide it to on the ios app).
Has anyone else experienced this or have a fix? Is there a way to just type in the time I want to start at instead of clicking?
On another note, I just tested saving a couple marks on the timeline (in web viewer) to see if I could at least skip to those. When I go back to double click those marks, playback started exactly one hour prior to the mark I saved.
Help!
Playback timeline doesn't play where I click
Re: Playback timeline doesn't play where I click
same here. tried the app and web browser. same result. I'm getting tired of all the issues with the NVRs.
Re: Playback timeline doesn't play where I click
I wonder if it has anything to do with daylight savings time? I had noticed that the video time overlay was not matching actual time and realized that DST settings on the camera needed to be properly set.
Enable DST check box, choose "week", 2nd Sunday in March, 1st Sunday in Nov. Not sure if this is a solution to your issues, but it did help match the time on the video with actual current time for me.

Yes, I had the same problem on a couple of my cameras. DST was not checked and the time zone was wrong for those cameras. After fixing those issues, it was back to working normally.
