Will do. You can try rebooting the camera from the browser setup page (under System, Auto Maintain), which shouldn't affect your settings (which, in turn, may not solve the problem). If you do a hard reset at the camera, it may help, but it will also reset everything and you'll need to re-configure it.

Great! Gremlins, I guess. Glad you got it working.

I have this same issue. I can go into the Amcreset Pro software and change the setting to the higher setting on my IP4M-1026W. Somehow the camera keeps getting set back to the lower resolutions. The only thing connected to the camera is Amcrest Cloud.

The cloud automatically changes your camera settings (e.g., if you set a cam to 1080p @4Mbps the cloud will change settings to an horrendous bitrate like 1Mbps and not bother to let you know it's changing your settings).

I'm sure it's to save space and bandwidth and since most don't notice or know any better who would say anything?

I have discovered the issue. The issue with my camera constantly rebooting is the Amcrest Cloud. Apparently the Amcrest Cloud sends out a reset to the camera periodically. It does not appear to be on any kind of schedule, it is almost like someone is forcing the reset out as sometimes it is once or twice a day. Sometimes it is multiple times an hour. What this means is the camera is not actually rebooting at all but simply has it's settings reset and it appears as it was a reboot. For example I can increase the resolution on my camera to above 1080P and at sometime after, it could be hours or it could be minutes the camera is set back by the Amcrest Cloud. Apparently this is occuring even if I make no changes on the camera settings.

The amcrest cloud seems to be capable of keeping up with the bandwidth requirements for the higher resolutions so my guess at this point is that Amcrest is limiting the video resolution due to file size. It would be really nice if Amcrest would offer higher resolutions on their cloud plan and stop resetting my camera. Even if the higher resolutions cost more money. At this point I am considering purchasing an NVR and forgoing the Amcrest cloud service, even though there are features of the Amcrest cloud service that I do like.

With this being said I also have noticed that it seems that the Amcrest cloud service goes down nearly every weekend. My guess is that Amcrest is performing some type of maintenance during the weekends. Just for Amcrest knowledge, the weekend is actually a critical time for this service for me as this is when most of the criminal activities take place in my neighborhood. Not as much during the week. Perhaps you need to find a way to offer HA for your cloud service.
