I had the same problem with disappearing overlay on a new camera. I read a tip here in a forum message that worked. If you have the camera connected to Amcrest Cloud, disconnect it. That fixed my issue. Of course, it's not a perfect solution but if you aren't actively using the Cloud service then no loss.

I was having this trouble with overlays as well (wanting timestamp overlay). Removing it from Amcrest cloud resolved it. Shame you can't use their cloud to and overlay settings.

I have the same problem with the 720p camera the time stamp, name and logo overlays disappear after a few hours of operation with no reboot or user intervention to the camera. This happens everyday after about 4 hours of operation. Tried about every permutation of things from reboot, moving the overlays,to saves to turning watermark settings on and off, and still happens. The watermark setting on or off also do not appear to do anything.

I am running the newest version for firmware
Software Version
2.420.AC00.15.R, build : 2016-09-08 .

Sometime one disappears and a little while later the other disappears, then another - eventually they are all gone.

Thanks for the info, now that I think of it, the problem may have started once I connected to the cloud. I could not figure out how to disconnect my one and only Amcrest camera from the free cloud so I deleted the account. I hope that works.

Thanks to the person who said connection to the Amcrest cloud causes the overlays to disappear. I disconnected from the cloud several day ago and the overlays DO NOT DISAPPEAR anymore. The Amcrest programmer for the cloud interface may want to look into this to correct this issue. ENBVIRONMENT: Newest firmware, 721p camera, accessed via Windows 8 browsers firefox, IE and chrome and streaming though ISPY newest version.

Hello jeffarz,

If you want to delete camera from cloud, go to amcrestcloud.com and login. Click on the drop-down next to the camera name on the bottom left and you can delete the camera.

I have the exact same problem. I need it because almost every day at a random time, the screen goes pink, and loops a 2 second of the last video it took. All recordings stop (I'm only recording motion detection to SD card). SD card is only half full. Only a reboot helps. Firmware is up to date.

Amcrest- is there a solution or fix to this? You can't just let a failure in your cameras and system like this just ride. The cloud system you have is tampering with device settings. It needs fixed.

I'm having the same problem with timestamps. I just removed my camera from the cloud - hope that fixes it - but it would be nice if Amcrest would fix the problem some day.
