one of 8 cameras not working
Our church purchased a Amcrest1080p 8 camera system, wired w/ bullet cameras. Exact system number escapes me. Installed system and found one camera not working. Had no success with online support. Finally, one month later new camera arrives. Checked out new camera prior to installing and worked fine. Due to the distance from DVR and camera I had to combine 2 of the 50 ft cables. Camera comes on shows loading then goes off and resumes again. Ordered a 100 ft cable to get the splice out and before permanently installing new cable hooked up camera to system. There was nothing on monitor. So, went back and reestablished the cable link with the 2 spliced cables. Now the camera comes on but is wavy and has no color. I switched cables around on the control unit and found all 8 rear connections was working. Any suggestions on what could be wrong ?
