Bought a brand new IP5M from Amazon. Tried it with 2 different AC adapters. One with output of 12v @ 2 amps, another with 12v at 5 amps. Camera appeared to be DOA. No light, not noise, nothing.
Called Amcrest support, tried the obvious reset, etc. No luck. Returned to Amazon, got a new one. Exact same problem. Has to be something I'm doing.
What am I missing here? There is no way two different brand new cameras were both dead on arrival. 5 amps should be way more than enough to power up this camera, right?
No Power - IP5M

The manual warns against having POE and secondary power plugged in at the same time.
Use a lamp to confirm the outlet you're using is live. Plug the brick into the outlet and measure the voltage across the poles of the connector. If you get 12v, plug the connector into the camera. If the camera still doesn't power up, try POE.
