No Audio Setting on Web Browser

Post by SCCrest »

Hello,

I have camera model IP8M-VT2779EW.
It is on the network and I can access it via web browser or Amcrest Surveillance Pro software.

The problem I need help on is how to enable the audio. This camera is suppose to be one way audio.
When I connect via web browser and click on setup > camera, I see configuration and video. Where is the audio?
How do I enable it.

Please get back to me asap.

Thank you,

Silver

Hello and Welcome to the Forum

Personally I don't know that Camera. However looking up the Datasheet for the camera I don't find anything that says that camera has Audio. There is nothing that talks about Audio Alarm and or Audio Input types of 711 and so on. So I am not sure why or how it is thought that it has a Mic?

However then I look at the Amcrest Webpage for the camera and in the listing it does say that it would have 1 way Audio with Ext Mic. However when one looks at the camera Wires that it comes with (Ethernet and Power) there is no Ext Mic connection from the wires where normally Amcrest cameras would have a connection. So then it comes to maybe there was a 3.5 jack or RCA that is on the body like loads of my older Samsung cameras have, However I don't think that is the case. I think the Camera web page has a Input error and the Camera has Motorized zoom but no Audio/Mic
Be Safe.
