Need to access camera via https from website
Need to access camera via https from website
I administer the website (by WIX) for our Marina. We just bought an IP8M-2496EB and want to install it so members can see weather conditions before they come to the marina. I want to put the camera view on our WIX website, but WIX requires an https address, not simply http. I do not need (nor actually want) anyone to be able to control the camera...just simple viewing. I am having difficulty when I call support, because it's hard to understand what they are saying. Can someone please help me with this? On my PC I have installed Amcrest IP Config tool, I set up an Amcrest cloud account, set up an Amcrestview account and an Amcrest SurveillancePro account. No trouble seeing the camera view from my PC, but how can I see it on my website, given that WIX only accepts "https"?
Re: Need to access camera via https from website
I have a different model than you but the HTTPS configuration is only accessible through the web interface of the camera. On my model you click "network" then "https". I assume you want a self signed certificate so you simply generate it then enable https.

Good Evening indigojon,
The same suggestions that I provided on a different post will also apply for access on a website.
However, there are many third-party options available which make this more secure.
One of those is https://www.ipcamlive.com/
Here is an article of another service to possible try along with an article for using RTSP.

https://support.amcrest.com/hc/en-us/ar ... -CVI-DVRs-
HTTP API SDK:
