Recently moved to a new home with Amcrest NVR ( Model nv 4116-hs) and around 8 camera's installed.
All cameras are POE as I have located the POE switch.
I can see that all cameras are working too as they show the infrared light turn on in the dark.
However, only 1 camera showing up in the NVR and it works.
None of the remaining 7 cameras is showing up in the nvr.
I removed one camera but have no idea what model or make of the camera is.
I am attaching the pic of the camera here.
I am looking for help
1- How to make all the cameras show up in the nvr
2- what make is this camera
Need help with Cameras not showing up NVR and Which is this camera ?

Re: Need help with Cameras not showing up NVR and Which is this camera ?
Hello and Welcome to the forum..
On that Sticker it don't say what model it is?? it does kind of look like a many different offerings.. Right out the gate I am going to guess it is a 1179..
Next do you have access to the NVR? Or did you gain access by resetting it? If you have access to the NVR and it was not reset you might be able to toss a CGI command at it and it will list out old Password info. Depends on what FW the HS is on.. I think in the last 2 updates that would just toss out ^^^^ in place of the password, it has been a while so I would have to double check.. Plus have to find command again as I have not used it for a few years..
Something to keep in mind.. If you did reset the NVR and all the cameras are connected to NVRs POE switch but don't seem like that is a model you have
Couple of things. First Normal POE or NON/POE you will want to reset back to factory and do the same in the cameras..
With all the cameras in the home are they on the NVR just showing not able to connect or is the NVR only showing that there is 1 camera and the rest fo the open areas just show Amcrest Logo? If black screen and you don't know the password for the NVR it might be that the other cameras are loaded in the NVR just not logged in to the NVR to see them. Because you can pick what cameras are seen when not logged in the NVR..
Some things to keep in mind for your security and peace of mind.. First of all if you have access to the Internet and have given your NVR/Cameras access to the internet then the old owner has access to your camears over App and maybe even over WebUI depending on how they setup the system. IF you dont' know the password you will need to reset the whole system. Starting with NVR. Then you will want to pull each of the cameras if they are not marked and make note what Camera is connected to what Cat Cable.. Here is why.. First you will have to access the camera to reset them, you will want to unplug the ones you have not reset until you can get to resetting them. I don't know where they are installed so I don't know if it would be hard or easy..
Will need to know the model of the Camera to find out if it has Reset button or solder pads that would need shorting to get a reset. If the camera has to come apart or if there is access panel to the reset and Micro Sd card.. all this will help with how to go about reseting.. I would reset the main access to your home before other cameras that don't cover the important spaces..

Re: Need help with Cameras not showing up NVR and Which is this camera ?
Thanks for the detailed reply.
The NVR was originally locked. I had to reset everything to gain access to NVR.
The NVR i have is nv4116hs . This does not have POE ports. THere is a separate POE switch with 8 poe ports ( Mokerlink)
Just one camera shows. The rest is showing up as amcrest logos.
I am going to pull all cameras and try to reset them.

Re: Need help with Cameras not showing up NVR and Which is this camera ?
Interesting, 1 of 2 things, either your camera that is connected is using admin admin for user and password or the password you are using is the same, next not 100% yet find it strange ip address is same for camera and nvr after NVR Reset? I would use ip that nvr is reporting for camera and log into camera webui. admin is default and normally will prompt you to change it, then you will need to change in the camera remote device page of nvr. Doing a device search in NVR don't find any of other cameras? Nice to have most the hard work done with cameras left behind and installed.
If on current network range I would keep all the ips offline in router so old owner isn't watching. Once reset that risk goes away.

Re: Need help with Cameras not showing up NVR and Which is this camera ?
I think some of my issues is to do with not enough power is going through POE switch.
One of the camera that I pulled today was Reolink. I could not access it as default username and password are incorrect. I could not reset it as reset switch is part of the poe cable and looks like the person who installed it cut of the reset cable
. That camera is now a lost cause. what a shit show dealing with these cameras. MIght as well get some new ones and start off from scratch.

Re: Need help with Cameras not showing up NVR and Which is this camera ?
If I was in the area and if they were worth keeping I would be happy to reset the cameras for you..
So I will walk you through what needs to happen now.. One of the cameras that you took down will need to be taken apart, Once you get the 2 parts and expose the inside you will want to look at the wiring where it connects to the PCB. Seen a Youtube video where someone did that, cut off all the extra wires to an Amcrest POE AI camera and IRKED me.. Anyway you will want to remove the connecter from the PCB. The camera should have normal 8 wires for the ethernet connection and maybe only 4 but if there is the normal wiring color inside the camera for ethernet, orange, green, blue and brown with the respective white then the other wires in the connector would be power and what ever elese they might have had.. One would need to know for sure what wires come in the bundle. Like some of my Amcrest cameras have the Ethernet, power, alarm, audio. Then aother camera I own that does have reset on the wire as well has all that I just stated with the reset pair and also has an BNC video output.. Normally when there is many different wires on the bundle there will be 2 or more connectors in the PCB even have one that power pair inside on their own..
Anyway once you were to take camera apart, find the wires went to what then it would be as simple as shorting the 2 wires at the PCB connector to reset the camera.. Also to make it easier for the future and if you had the area in the camera, Like some of my cameras have nice deep area, you could cut the wire before it exits the camera body and solder a micro push button on to the 2 wires and hot glue or epoxy the switch to the inside for easy resetting in the future..
Also while you are in there it is a good idea to change out the Gel Packs to keep your cameras dry longer... Don't know how old the cameras are or if they ever made any changes to the packs but they don't last forever if you live in area like I do. Some I replace yearly others every 2 years and some cameras i own today I don't care and will just toss when they go bad seeing the cost has come down for most part..

Re: Need help with Cameras not showing up NVR and Which is this camera ?
So looking at this picture I put arrows where the wire connects to pcb from outside, you can see a connector with only black wires that on this camera is power wires to camera pcb and not incoming wires. On this camera it has ethernet, alarm in and out, power wires, audio in and out and the 2 wires by itself is 12v output for powering the Mic and might be how a camera with reset button on wiring bundle might be if not it should be easy enough to figure out what pair is for reset. My reset on this camera is on the black plastic access from port on outside but wanted to show what I was talking about.
