Motion recording

Post by RTA44 »

My camera is IP8M-T2499EB-28MM. NVR is NV4108E. As it recorded a car driving past my house, a jogger came into view, same direction as the car, and was still in the middle of the frame several seconds after the car had passed by. The recording stopped with the jogger in mid-stride in front of my house. Does this mean I need to change my settings, or is there an issue with my cam or NVR?

It is hard to say.. I am going to guess that your Motion Grid was small or not able to pick up the person.. Or it might be that there is some adjustments needed to your Motion setup...

I personally setup mine for 0 Anti Dither and 120 on the Record delay.. While this numbers seem not to matter at times that is how I have it setup.. The 2 are really one of the same.. While I say it don't matter it does give me 2 min motion events and easier to start event then on a Small little sliver of time when playing back...

It might be that your Delay was not long enough or that your system is setup to delay on next motion after an event has happen..

I would make sure that your Motion grid wasn't just a small line that the Car Triggered and the Jogger just came in on the back end of the car.. If the Grid area is long enough in that path then the Delay should have kept the Recording going until all motion ended..

Would need more about your Grid and Motion settings to have a better understanding of the issue at play...
Be Safe.
