Motion Detection Area Sensitivity:Threshold Graph

Post by timtrace »

Greetings, first post from a new owner of two IP3M-956E.

When configuring motion detection, I cannot see any activity in the rolling sensitivity:threshold graph (as shown in the attached GIF which I scraped from the Amcrest support site).

I need to use at least two detection regions on one of my cameras, and without the graph I can only guess at which sensitivity and threshold settings might be effective.

I've tried with IE and Firefox, but no joy.

What should I be doing differently?

Thank you --

Hello timtrace ,

Please start testing from a lower threshold value and then go up. If the threshold is set to 60 it might not detect most of the movements.

I am having the exact same issue in IE using the IP2M-841. In the GIF attached by timtrace, the user sets the threshold to 66, sets sensitivity to 60, then starts moving stuff around the screen. Around the 00:45 mark on the GIF, you can see red motion lines show up on the threshold graph (the small grey box on the right). This allows the user to see how the camera interprets the motion in order to set the proper threshold.

No motion is showing up in my graph (regardless of how low I set my sensitivity/threshold), it just stays grey. How do I get that graph to work so I can properly set my threshold/sensitivity?

My graph (regardless of how low I set my sensitivity/threshold) stays grey as well. Has something changed? I'm on IE 11, Win 10.
